Amy Beasley (incumbent)

Amy Beasley is the current District 8 Councilmember, elected in 2024. She serves on the Social Services and Public Safety and the Environmental Quality and Public Works Committees, as well as the Homelessness Prevention and Intervention Board, the Task Force on Homelessness, and the Affordable Housing Governing Board.

  • I am the current 8th District City Councilmember, Bluegrass Central Labor Council President, Pharmacy Tech at Kroger, and UFCW Local 227 Chief Steward

  • I am already doing the work. I have spent the last 2 years learning what it takes to do this job and helping the neighbors in our district. It is my honor to serve the neighbors of the 8th district.

  • The top issues in our district are

    1. Food insecurity 2. Gun Violence 3. Jobs

  • Making sure that we have quality food available for our neighbors and working towards eliminating the insecurity.

  • I will continue my office hours on Friday on Centre PKWY so my neighbors do not have to travel to city hall, We will continue to be at the community pop ups, and neighborhood meetings.
